Every year a group of dedicated Jeep enthusiasts in France make the pilgrimage to Chambon sur Jeep. Chambon sur Lac is the host village tucked somewhere between 2,864–6,178 feet up in the Massif Central mountains in Central France. In fact you can see lots of old volcanos which are inactive at present.
What hits you when you first arrive is the 500 odd Jeeps that have ascended to this pretty lakeside vacation area. Willys, CJ, TJ, JK, XJ, ZJ, WJ, WH, WK, KJ are all here in abundance.
This year’s 2015 Chambon sur Jeep saw a few more Brits taking part. It’s a long way to go, nearly 600 miles plus the 6 hour ferry from Portsmouth to Caen.
